Featuring 56 movies, Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival opens with music icon Dom Salvador, both live and on screen.
A pioneer in promoting Brazilian cinema all over the world, the Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival has been held for 25 consecutive years in cities such as Miami, New York, London, Vancouver, Rome, Milan, Frascati, Madrid, Barcelona, Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Bogotá. This year, from September 4th to 18th, the largest and most relevant Brazilian film festival outside Brazil will present 56 films, both online and in-person.
Paying only $8.88, you can access the whole festival online at www.inff.online, a platform dedicated exclusively to Brazilian audiovisual. Also, those in New York and Miami can enjoy the experience by attending outdoor screenings and events, with all CDC protocols in place.
The 25th edition of the festival shines a light on the strength and vivacity of recent Brazilian film production with several most anticipated features, including the opening-night documentary Dom Salvador & Abolition, by Artur Ratton and Lilka Hara.
Considered one of the most influential Brazilian musicians of all times, Dom Salvador will be live at the festival’s opening night at the SummerStage in Central Park on September 4th at 8:30 pm. The film will screen at 7:00 pm.
In Miami, the opening night features another Brazil’s music icon, Sidney Magal. An extravagant figure, Magal has become one of the most popular artists in the country, and the subject of Me Chama Que Eu Vou, a documentary by Joana Mariani. Premiere at 7pm at North Beach Bandshell. Ticket at $40.
