What happens when California meets Brazil? A party, of course! Once a month, a Long Beach music studio, Sound & Vibe, hosts a celebration on a foreign culture. In the first week of June, it was time for Brazil to show locals how it gets together.

Bobby Easton, an American with a Brazilian soul, was responsible for curating the attractions. His band Os Zagueiros absolutely killed it with live samba, funk, and soul blaring in the backyard, rockin’ and groovin’ to bliss. Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art, warmed things up while Ijo Emi serenaded the audience with a beautiful traditional Afro-Brazilian dance. Food was catered by Tati Marques Salgadinhos Brasil with coxinhas, feijoada and, as it could not be missed, caipirinhas! The Brazil Curator was also there spreading the word.

What a night! Wooo!!! Photos by Omer Saar.
